Blitar is a quite city located at 60 kms west direction of Malang City, about 100 kms at south direction from Surabaya- East Java Province Capital City.
A city that is not so popular in the region except as a cemetary of the first Indonesian president who was very much popular as his strong resistance against colonial and as Indonesia Independence declarator.
He was also well known in the world as his statement to quit United Nations member and shown his resistancy againts super power America, during his goverment.
In other hand-Blitar for me is most popular city in the world, unforgetable place. Blitar is the place where I was born almost 40 years ago, and spent almost 18 years there before leaved for Malang at 1986 for study and leaved for Jakarta at 1992. Therefore life child memory will never dissappear from my mind.
Blitar atmosphere is very calm and quite, has fresh air as no polution (not many cars and no industries), living cost is cheap, has many nice traditional foods and drinks
, the people is very nice and friendly.
Center of the city is marked by big beringin tree at alun-alun and many stores along the main road at Merdeka street (called “pecinan”)
However Blitar actually has some interesting places to visit, really comparable to the other places in Indonesia. They have historical tourism, its exotic nature, or even tradional foods and drinks that has fantastic testfull.
By this blog I would like to bring and explore what Blitar has - so my blog visitors are interested and finally come to and enjoy Blitar…:-) who knows… and I am pleased to be your guide……..
